Volkswagen is accelerating electric vehicle development.

To succeed in the electric vehicle sector, you need cutting-edge software and shorter R&D times. Volkswagen has finally structured this and, following a partnership with Rivian, has shaken hands with the French software company Dassault Systemes. This software company offers a digital platform called 3DExperience, designed by the French, to accelerate the design and development of the next generation of cars.

The news of the agreement was announced by Dassault CFO Rouven Bergmann during a secretly held meeting. "Volkswagen is turning to our technology to standardize all design and production processes across the group, in order to accelerate its transition to software-based car design."

The biggest advantage of this platform is its ability to analyze and use collected data to improve the activities of individual teams and the coordination between them. By using cloud storage to distribute information among teams, it enables faster communication between departments located in different parts of the world, as well as allowing for the analysis of team work.

One of the most interesting features of this system, chosen by Volkswagen, is that everyone, regardless of whether they are in the automotive sector or not, can suggest solutions to problems or improvements in efficiency analyzed by the system and other stakeholders, thus promoting the continuous improvement of the company's operations.
